RECAP | Love was in the air, but not without a few last minute shocks, as tonight’s season finale of Farmer Wants A Wife delivered emotional declarations, broken hearts and one exit nobody saw coming.
After weeks of romance, uncertainty and plenty of second guessing, the farmers made their final decisions, with Dylan and Jarrad both finding love, while another hopeful flipped the script in a moment that had viewers talking online.
Farmer Dylan’s decision came down to Ally and Scarlett, with both women admitting they had fallen in love with him before he revealed where his heart truly lay.

Despite previously describing his connection with Scarlett as “undeniable“, Dylan ultimately chose Ally, believing they were better suited to a future together.
The night’s biggest romantic moment arrived when Dylan finally told Ally, “I love you“, leaving her stunned after fearing she was about to be sent home.
Their emotional reunion had viewers talking across Reddit and social media, with many celebrating the payoff after the pair’s rollercoaster journey, while others admitted they were still heartbroken for Scarlett.
Farmer Jarrad also declared his feelings, choosing schoolteacher Brodie and telling her she was the “most grounded and genuine person” he had ever met before revealing he was falling in love with her.
Brodie happily returned his feelings, admitting she had “definitely fallen” for him and was excited to see what their future together might hold.
The biggest surprise of the finale came before Jarrad could deliver his decision to Yvonne, when she stopped him mid conversation and revealed she no longer believed they were right for each other.

Rather than waiting to be chosen or rejected, Yvonne delivered one of the season’s most memorable lines.
“I do still want to find my love, but I’m so sorry, you are not my farmer.”
Jarrad later admitted he was blindsided by the conversation, saying he never expected it to unfold that way despite believing they had shared an amazing journey together.
The unexpected reversal sparked plenty of discussion, with many viewers praising Yvonne for taking control of the moment, while others sympathised with both sides.
While Dylan and Ally ended the season with a heartfelt declaration of love, Seven was quick to tease that their story may not be over just yet.
A preview for the upcoming reunion hinted at possible relationship drama, showing a tense looking Dylan saying events had not unfolded the way he “wanted“, while he and Ally sat at opposite ends of the couch as the promo teased potential break ups among this year’s couples.
The season may be over, but it appears the biggest questions about which couples have gone the distance will be answered when the Farmer Wants A Wife reunion airs on Seven.
All episodes of Farmer Wants A Wife are now streaming on 7plus.
