Dubai Basketball booked their place in the ABA League semi-finals with an 88-84 win over Spartak Office Shoes in Subotica, Serbia.
The result sends the UAE side through from their quarter-final tie and keeps alive another strong campaign in the regional competition.
Dubai are only in their second season in the ABA League, but they have already built a steady record at this level. Last season, in their debut campaign, they reached the semi-finals before losing to Partizan Belgrade.
This time, they had to work hard for their place again.
Spartak kept the game close deep into the fourth quarter, but Dubai made the key move with less than four minutes left. A 5-0 run inside a minute took them from a tight finish to a 73-80 lead.
That spell gave Dubai enough room to manage the closing stages and see out the win on the road.
Dubai will now wait to learn their semi-final opponents. They will face either Budućnost VOLI or U-BT Cluj-Napoca in the next round.
