Postcards heads to Mount Eliza as The Block takes over the bayside suburb
Channel 9‘s Postcards is heading to Mount Eliza this weekend, with The Block foreman Dan giving viewers a look at the suburb that has become home to the long-running renovation series during filming for its new season.
Having spent recent months working in Mount Eliza on The Block, Dan shares some of the production crew’s favourite local spots. His tour includes Butterken Bakery, known for its German breads and pastries, before finishing with dinner at Bau Bau Dining, where he enjoys a simple Italian meal.

Elsewhere, Sammy J returns to Harcourt after filing his first Postcards story there last year. During his visit, he catches up with local residents to hear how the community is recovering following the devastating bushfires in January.
His itinerary includes a stop at Harcourt Produce & General Store, a ride on the Victorian Miniature Railway, and a visit to The Little Red Apple, where the town’s well-known Harcourt Apples are on offer.
In Melbourne’s CBD, Madeline Spark explores several new additions to the city’s hospitality scene. She begins at Lune‘s new Lonsdale Street location before visiting the Degraves Street outlet of Smith & Deli, where she catches up with Shannon Martinez. She also takes a look at the extensive multi-level refurbishment of the Waterside Hotel on Flinders Street.
Meanwhile, Brodie Harper spends the day discovering attractions across Narre Warren. Her visit starts with coffee and an organic meal at Illume Cafe inside the Good Food Emporium before she heads to Bunjil Place to see The Offbeat Sari, an exhibition celebrating one of the world’s most recognisable garments in its many forms. She rounds out the day with a Lebanese feast at Soul Beirut.
