Australian football fans will be able to watch the first AFLW representative match between Australia and Ireland live and free this weekend, with Fox Footy making the international fixture available on Kayo Freebies.
The match marks the beginning of Fox Footy’s 2026 AFLW coverage and will be available nationwide without a subscription through Kayo Freebies.

The sold-out contest will be covered by Fox Footy’s on-ground commentary team, with Kelli Underwood and Jess Webster calling the action, joined by expert commentators Lauren Arnell and Chyloe Kurdas. Lauren Wood and Taylor Smith will report from the boundary.
Michael Neill, General Manager – Fox Footy, said the broadcaster was pleased to make the match accessible to all viewers.
“This is a landmark moment for the AFLW and we’re thrilled to be bringing it to fans live on Kayo SPORTS.
Representative football in any code has always captured the imagination, and this is a chance to celebrate just how far the women’s game has come while showcasing the incredible talent playing at the elite level.”
The broadcast also marks Jess Webster’s television commentary debut for Fox Footy after previously establishing herself through radio and AFLW coverage.
Kelli Underwood brings extensive experience to the coverage, having become the first woman to call an AFL premiership match on television in 2009.
Former AFLW player and coach Lauren Arnell, former player and women’s football advocate Chyloe Kurdas, and current Sydney Swans forward Taylor Smith complete the expert panel.
Following the international fixture, Fox Footy and Kayo SPORTS will continue their 2026 NAB AFLW Premiership coverage from the opening round the following weekend, with every game, every final and the Grand Final to be shown on Fox Footy, available on Kayo SPORTS.
AFLW Australia v Ireland will be played at North Sydney Oval on Saturday, 1 August, with coverage from 3:45pm AEST, streaming live and free on Kayo Freebies, and live and exclusive on Fox Footy, available on Kayo SPORTS.
