Nova 100 recognises CLINT STANAWAY in Melbourne Breakfast update

Clint Stanaway is no longer the “and Clint” afterthought, officially joining the title of Nova 100’s market leading Breakfast show alongside Jase Hawkins and Lauren Phillips.

The updated branding, now Jase, Lauren & Clint, rolled out on air this morning, recognising Stanaway’s long standing role and growing presence with Melbourne listeners, after long calls from listeners for the change.

NOVA Entertainment has today announced that Nova 100’s long-time Breakfast co-host and newsreader Clint Stanaway is now formally recognised in the show’s name, with Jase, Lauren & Clint officially launching on air this morning.

A much-loved voice to Melbourne listeners, Clint has been an integral part of the leading Melbourne Breakfast show for several years, alongside co-hosts Jase Hawkins and Lauren Phillips. While Clint has long been a familiar presence on the show, this change reflects the significant role he plays on Nova 100 Breakfast.

Stanaway said being acknowledged in this way was deeply meaningful:

“It’s both incredibly humbling and a really proud moment for me. Jase and Lauren have been so supportive throughout my career, and I’m genuinely grateful to them, to Nova and to the listeners who’ve backed me every step of the way.”

Lauren Phillips continued:

“Our show has always been built on the friendship between the three of us, so this change makes perfect sense. It’s been a long time coming and this is a really special and proud moment for our show.”

Jase Hawkins joked the update was partly practical.

“Saying ‘Clint’s here too’ multiple times a morning really chews up airtime, so the name change just makes sense,” he said.

“Jokes aside, I couldn’t imagine this show without Clint. We’ve become great mates over the years, and I’m so proud of him. His contribution takes our show to a whole other level, and he absolutely deserves this recognition.”

Nova 100’s Breakfast show remains a market leader, sitting equal number one (6am-9am) on FM in Melbourne and attracting more listeners than any other breakfast program*.

These results reflect the strength of the show’s line up and enduring connection with the Melbourne audience.

Nova Network’s Group Programming Director, Brendan Taylor, said:

“Jase, Lauren and Clint have become one of Nova’s strongest and most consistent breakfast teams in the country.”

“Clint’s inclusion in the show name recognises his impact, his connection with the audience and the role he plays in the ongoing success of Nova 100’s Breakfast show.”

A highly experienced sports and news journalist, Clint Stanaway has built an impressive media career across television and radio, including previous roles as host of Weekend Today and on Nine’s Sunday night news desk.

His credibility, warmth and quick wit have cemented his place as one of Australia’s most versatile broadcasters.

Jase, Lauren & Clint airs weekdays on Nova 100 in Melbourne from 6am to 9am and nationally on weekends from 8am to 10am. Listeners can also stream the show live or catch up via the Nova Player.
