A retired railway engineer became Hyderabad’s “Road Doctor” after witnessing a deadly pothole accident. 🚧 Gangadhar Tilak Katnam decided he couldn’t simply watch dangerous roads claim lives. For 15 years, he has repaired 2,000+ potholes across Hyderabad, using his ₹23,000 pension, discarded road material and his own savings.
But Gangadhar didn’t stop at fixing potholes himself. He started Shramadaan, bringing volunteers together to repair roads for free and turn individual effort into a community movement.
