The second season of SNL UK was locked in before the first had even wrapped, and now the British comedy series is heading back to screens in Australia.
The original cast will return when season two premieres on HBO Max next month, with the new 12 episode run set to bring its first six episodes to Australian audiences in 2026 before more are planned for early 2027.
The Sky Original premiered in the UK in March 2026, giving the long running US format a distinctly British spin. Sky initially ordered six episodes before extending the first season to eight, then commissioned another 12 episodes in May while the debut run was still airing.

The series has also made an impact beyond the television audience, with Sky reporting more than 86 million social media views during its first season.
Produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio’s UK production team and Broadway Video for Sky and NOW, SNL UK is staged live from London, with a different celebrity host and musical guest joining the cast each week.
The format also features its own version of Weekend Update, anchored by Ania Magliano and Paddy Young.
All 11 members of the original cast are returning for season two, including Magliano and Young, with the series continuing to mix topical sketches, live music and celebrity hosts through a distinctly British lens.
The second season will initially air across six episodes in 2026, with the remaining episodes planned for early 2027.
