SKY NEWS locks in major political lineup for Budget 2026

Sky News Australia will deliver rolling coverage and analysis of Budget 2026 as Treasurer Jim Chalmers hands down the Albanese Government’s fifth Federal Budget amid ongoing cost-of-living pressures.

The Treasurer is set to outline the Government’s economic strategy in Parliament as Australians continue grappling with rising household expenses including housing, energy and grocery costs.

Coverage begins on Tuesday May 12 at 5:00pm with The Kenny Report, where Chris Kenny will preview the major issues expected to dominate the Budget.

At 6:00pm, Peta Credlin hosts a special 90-minute edition of Credlin, offering analysis ahead of the Treasurer’s address.

Viewers can then watch complete coverage of Jim Chalmers’ Budget speech live from Parliament House, Canberra, from 7:30pm.

Immediate reaction and political analysis follows at 8:00pm during Budget 2026 LIVE, hosted by Kieran Gilbert alongside Andrew Clennell, Ross Greenwood, Chris Uhlmann and Laura Jayes.
