Rebecca Yarros’ grip on the book-to-television pipeline just got a little tighter. The author, who already has her hands full with a Fourth Wing adaptation and an upcoming novella, just added a new project to her plate.
Apple TV has secured the rights to the Yarros’ unreleased romance novel, Peculiar Stars, before it has even hit shelves. The novel isn’t due to be published until later this year, but the streamer has already confirmed plans to develop it into a television series, with Yarros attached as an executive producer through her production company, Full Measures Productions.

What is Peculiar Stars about?
Obviously, we’re yet to get the novel in our hot little hands, but there are already plot details floating around the internet. Peculiar Stars is reportedly set across 543 days on a deserted island, and follows a young woman who is stranded after a cyclone with a member of her fiancé’s family.
As the pair fight to survive, the experience reshapes everything they thought they knew about love. But once they’re rescued and return to their privileged lives, they’re forced to confront a new reality that’s far more complicated than what they’ve just endured.
When will it be released?
There’s no word yet on when the television adaptation will arrive on Apple TV, but you won’t have to wait too long to dive into the story in book form. Peculiar Stars is set to be published on November 17.
Who is involved in the adaptation?
This project is still in its very early stages, and the only person attached is Yarros herself as an executive producer. There’s no word yet on a writer, director, or any cast members.

Her bestselling Empyrean series, which begins with Fourth Wing, is currently being adapted into a television series by Amazon MGM Studios.
