NITV is putting First Nations entrepreneurs front and centre with a new commercially backed series celebrating businesses making a difference in communities across Australia.
Created in partnership with NRMA Insurance, By Mob For Mob is a new short-form series hosted by proud Kamilaroi man Matty Mills, who sits down with First Nations business owners to explore the stories behind their success, the role of culture and Country in their work, and the lessons they’ve learned along the way.
Rhanna Collins, Head of Commercial, Brand and Digital at NITV, said the series celebrates one of Australia’s fastest growing business communities while encouraging more First Nations entrepreneurs to pursue their ambitions.

Among those featured are Yaala Sparkling founder Tara Croker, Winya Indigenous Commercial Furniture’s Aunty Debbie Barwick, The Unexpected Guest’s Aunty Jenny Khan, Gali Swimwear’s David Leslie and Message Stick’s Uncle Michael McLeod.
Mills said the conversations revealed that every business has a deeper story shaped by resilience, courage and community, and he hopes the series inspires more people to back themselves and ask for support when they need it.

The series forms part of NITV’s ongoing commercial partnership with NRMA Insurance, which has supported First Nations media through the Beyond 3% initiative since 2023.
The partnership previously delivered NITV’s Weekend Weather Updates, incorporating Indigenous weather knowledge, First Nations Place Names and cultural weather seasons.
