Creating a high-performance Porsche 911 Turbo S is not only about achieving a large power figure. The real challenge is developing a car that can perform in completely different environments while keeping the same calibration.
This Porsche 911 Turbo S 992.1 M1000 project was built around that idea: one configuration capable of daily driving in Dubai, circuit use at Yas Marina and Dubai Autodrome, and nine-second quarter-mile performance at Yas Marina Drag Strip.
Starting from the factory 641 HP / 800 Nm specification, the finished build produces:
951.5 HP / 1,090.8 Nm
while remaining street registered and regularly driven.
The same calibration that delivered the car’s 9.33-second quarter mile is also used for normal road operation.
Building the M1000 Package
The project was developed as a complete powertrain package rather than a single upgrade.
The 3.7-litre MDB.CB twin-turbo flat-six received upgraded turbochargers, upgraded exhaust manifolds, catless downpipes, upgraded intercoolers, charge pipes and an upgraded plenum.
A water-methanol injection system was added to support charge cooling and provide additional knock margin during high-load operation.
The factory MAP sensors were replaced with extended-range sensors to maintain accurate pressure readings at the boost levels required by the M1000 configuration.
The result is a complete hardware package designed to support increased airflow, higher output and consistent operation in Gulf conditions.
ECU and PDK Calibration
The Porsche 992.1 Turbo S uses a Bosch MG1CP007 ECU with torque-based engine management.
For this project, calibration development focused on coordinating the complete system: boost control, torque model, ignition, lambda, fueling and protection strategies.
The increased engine output also required changes to the eight-speed PDK calibration.
The factory Turbo S produces 800 Nm, while the M1000 configuration reaches 1,090.8 Nm. The transmission torque limits and clutch-pack clamping pressure were adjusted to match the increased output and allow the engine and gearbox to work from the same torque model.
This integrated approach is the foundation of modern Porsche tuning at DEIZ GARAGE, where ECU calibration, drivetrain behaviour and supporting hardware are developed as one complete performance system.
Dyno Validation in Dubai
The final calibration was tested on the DEIZ Dynomax in Dubai using SAE J1349 correction.
The main configuration used 98 RON fuel with water-methanol injection.
The result:
951.5 HP at the engine
822.5 HP at the wheels
1,090.8 Nm @ 4,150 rpm
Testing conditions:
32.4°C ambient temperature
101.2 kPa atmospheric pressure
SAE J1349 correction factor: 0.991
A second back-to-back test was performed using the same calibration with MS109 race fuel added.
The result:
945.7 HP at the engine
818.1 HP at the wheels
1,083.0 Nm @ 4,170 rpm
Testing conditions:
34.5°C ambient temperature
Despite the higher temperature, the difference between the two runs was approximately six horsepower.
For a build operating at this level, repeatable performance under real conditions is more valuable than a single peak result.
The same runs expressed using SAE J607 correction would display approximately:
999 HP / 1,145 Nm
The hardware remains unchanged between these figures; only the correction method changes. The reference results remain the SAE J1349-corrected values measured on the DEIZ Dynomax.
Tested on Road, Circuit and Drag Strip
The dyno was only one part of the development process.
At Yas Marina Drag Strip, the Turbo S recorded:
Quarter mile — 9.33 seconds
Acceleration testing produced:
0–100 km/h — 2.23 seconds
100–200 km/h — 4.22 seconds
An earlier stage of development had already achieved a 9.44-second quarter mile before further optimisation moved the car deeper into the 9.3-second range.
For drag testing, Mickey Thompson tyres were used to maximise traction.
However, the project was not developed only for straight-line performance.
The same M1000 calibration was also validated during circuit testing. An earlier configuration recorded a 2:13.30 lap on Dubai Autodrome Grand Prix Circuit, while further development brought the car into the 2:08 range with repeatable laps at both Dubai Autodrome and Yas Marina.
The challenge was creating one calibration capable of handling two opposite requirements: maximum output during a short drag pass and stable performance during extended circuit use.
The final result is a Turbo S that can complete a track session and still be driven home.
Development Process
Throughout development, high-speed RAM datalogging of ECU internal parameters was used to evaluate system behaviour under load.
Parameters including boost pressure, ignition correction, lambda and intake air temperature were monitored during calibration development.
Every adjustment to boost, ignition and torque strategy was evaluated against these logs.
The goal was not to achieve one successful dyno pull.
The goal was to create a calibration capable of repeatedly delivering the requested performance while maintaining the correct protection strategies.
The calibration was developed with Gulf conditions in mind, including 35°C-plus ambient temperatures and repeated high-load operation.
Final Result
The Porsche 911 Turbo S 992.1 M1000 project transforms the factory 641 HP / 800 Nm platform into a street-driven performance build producing:
951.5 HP / 1,090.8 Nm
with:
9.33-second quarter mile
2.23-second 0–100 km/h
4.22-second 100–200 km/h
2:08-range circuit performance
The project combines upgraded turbochargers, charge-air upgrades, water-methanol injection, ECU calibration, PDK optimisation and extensive real-world validation.
The result is not a dyno-only Porsche.
It is one Turbo S configuration capable of everyday driving, circuit performance and drag racing without changing calibration between disciplines.
951.5 HP. 1,090.8 Nm. 9.33 seconds. One calibration for road, circuit and drag.
