Aria the Scarlet Ammo Gets Short Anime for 15th Anniversary

An Aria the Scarlet Ammo short anime will be produced to commemorate the original TV anime’s 15th anniversary, 

The Aria The Scarlet Ammo (Hidan no Aria) TV anime began airing this day (April 15 in Japan) in 2011. It adapts the light novel series written by Chugaku Akamatsu and drawn by Koyoka Yoshino. Crunchyroll‘s synopsis reads:

Aria is a volatile girl who’s top dog in assault at a school for young mercenaries. When she discovers her classmate Kinji’s an ace, she strong-arms him into being her partner, but she isn’t the only femme fatale who wants a taste of his combat skills. His secret? He’s only a hotshot when he’s turned on! Aria gets Kinji for one mission, but he’ll end up with more than one finger on his trigger!

Takashi Watanabe (How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom, The Stories of Girls Who Couldn’t Be Magicians chief director) directed the anime at J.C.STAFF. Kazunori Iwakura (Planet With animation character designer) handled the character designs. Rie Kugimiya voiced Aria H. Kanzaki, while Junji Majima voiced male protagonist Kinji Toyama.

Another TV anime, based on the spin-off Aria The Scarlet Ammo AA and featuring a different production team, aired in 2015.
