Amazfit has introduced the Cheetah 2 Pro smartwatch, a new wearable aimed at long-distance runners and endurance athletes.
The launch comes alongside major marathon events, including Boston and London, with the device focused on training plans, recovery tracking, and performance data.
Design and Display
The Amazfit Cheetah 2 Pro uses a Grade 5 titanium frame and case, paired with sapphire glass for added durability.
It features a 1.32-inch AMOLED display with 466 x 466 resolution, a 60Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 3,000 nits for outdoor visibility.
The watch also includes 2.5D tempered glass with an anti-fingerprint coating.
It measures 48 x 48 x 13.2mm and weighs 45.6 grams.
Software and Connectivity
The smartwatch runs Zepp OS 5.0 and supports Zepp Flow AI voice control.
It includes a built-in microphone and speaker for Bluetooth calling and also supports Amazon Alexa.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 2.4GHz. The device supports Android 7.0 and above, as well as iOS 14.0 and later.
Running and Training Features
The Cheetah 2 Pro includes Zepp Coach, which creates adaptive training plans for races ranging from 3K to a full marathon.
It also integrates with TrainingPeaks, Runna, Strava, and Intervals.icu.
Runners can monitor pacing, lactate threshold, running power, ground contact time, gait, and predicted finish times.
Additional features include Track Run mode, virtual pacer, smart trajectory correction, and running gear management.
Health Tracking
The BioTracker 6.0 sensor system handles health monitoring. The watch tracks heart rate, blood oxygen levels, stress, VO2 max, heart rate variability, sleep, and readiness scores.
GPS, Battery, and Extras
The device uses dual-band GPS with support for six satellite systems.
Battery life is rated at up to 20 days with typical use, 10 days with heavy use, 8 days with always-on display enabled, and up to 31 hours in GPS mode.
Other features include a dual-mode flashlight, 32GB of storage, more than 170 workout modes, and 5 ATM water resistance.
