From: Babson Park, Mass.

I’m running the 2026 Boston Marathon with Cradles to Crayons because this journey reflects where I come from, who I’ve become, and who I want to help. I grew up in Langley Park, Maryland, as a first-generation student, and for a long time, I thought I would stay in my comfort zone. Opportunities like boarding school and now Babson College changed my life. They showed me what’s possible when someone believes in you and gives you access to resources you didn’t always have.

Through Babson’s Community Action Program, I found Cradles to Crayons and began volunteering at the Giving Factory, sorting clothing for kids in need. That experience stuck with me. Clothing is something many of us take for granted, but for so many families, it’s a daily stress. Supporting this mission feels personal—it’s about being the person I once needed.

What makes this even more meaningful is the journey it took to get here. I come from a wrestling and strength training background, and I used to hate cardio. Running wasn’t part of my identity. But over time, I pushed myself out of that mindset, went from my first miles to my first marathon, and now I’m lining up for Boston.

To me, this race is bigger than running. It’s about discipline, growth, and using my opportunity to give back. Every mile I run is for kids who deserve to feel confident, supported, and cared for.
