This year, Ballygunge 71 Palli’s Durga Puja theme is ‘Samudra Darpan’ (Mirror of the Ocean).
Inspired by artist Dhiman Sutar’s vision, Dutch visual artist Femke van Gemert has collected plastic from house to house to decorate a special section of the pandal.
Their message is clear: It is our shared responsibility to keep the oceans free of plastic.
