Delhi University has issued its first statement following an order from the Delhi High Court regarding the fatal building collapse in Satya Niketan. The DU Vice Chancellor has ordered a comprehensive safety review of student accommodation after seven students lost their lives in the incident. In addition to reviewing existing facilities, the university plans to explore and expand student housing options. Delhi University colleges have been instructed to inspect hostels, expedite new housing projects, and ensure that student safety remains paramount.
