Adelaide rosé lovers have a new excuse to think pink this spring, as the Rosé Rodeo Festival gallops into the Barossa this November for a day of wine, food, live music and vineyard views.
The 2026 Rosé Rodeo Festival will take over the lawns of Hoffmann Family Vineyards in Ebenezer on Saturday, November 14th, bringing together rosé wines from across the Riverland and Barossa Valley.
Kicking off at 11am and running until 5pm, the festival will highlight a selection of rosé alongside beer, soft drinks and freshly brewed coffee, with a local food vendor serving up bites throughout the day. Plus, live acoustic music will provide the perfect soundtrack as guests settle in on the lawns and enjoy the picturesque setting.
Naturally, there’s a dress code. This year’s best-dressed theme is “Think Pink!”, encouraging festival-goers to embrace everything from a subtle splash of blush to a full head-to-toe pink look. There will be a prize up for grabs for the best-dressed guest, so it’s a chance to go all out.
Tickets are $40 and include entry, an engraved festival glass and a glass of wine on arrival. Under-18 tickets are available for $5, with every child or young person required to have a ticket for event capacity management. Under-18s must also be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.
The festival is presented by Ricca Terra Vintners, one of Australia’s progressive wine brands with a reputation for championing alternative grape varieties, sustainability and the Riverland.
Founded by Ashley and Holly Ratcliff, Ricca Terra began with the couple purchasing their first vineyard in Barmera in 2003. What started with more familiar varieties such as Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot soon evolved into something very different.
The Ratcliffs shifted their focus towards grape varieties better suited to Australia’s warm and dry climate, planting Mediterranean varieties including Nero d’Avola, Montepulciano, Tinta Barroca, Fiano and Vermentino.
The festival is just one part of a bigger rosé celebration taking place in the Barossa that weekend.
The National Rosé Rodeo Industry Evening will be held on Friday, November 13th, at Dimchurch Vineyards in Ebenezer, with an afternoon of discussions exploring everything from the history and future of rosé to whether Australia could develop a reputation to rival Provence.
The program will feature wine personalities including Max Allen, James Adams of Turkey Flat, Nick Dry, Erin Larkin and Ashley Ratcliff, alongside a host of other industry experts.
Sessions will explore where rosé has come from and where it is heading, the grape varieties and styles that make great rosé, Australia’s potential to build its own rosé identity and even the connection between rosé, mindfulness and wellbeing.
The industry afternoon will run from 1pm, with the National Rosé Rodeo wine competition incorporated from 5:30pm.
The competition will see the Top 10 rosé wines from the judging made available for tasting and voting, with the winning wine taking home the National Rosé Rodeo Championship Belt Buckle.
With Riverland wines, Barossa vineyards, live music and plenty of rosé, the festival is shaping up to be one very pink way to spend a spring weekend.
