Brisbane Roar midfielder Taj Sorensen has signed a multi-year scholarship deal as he continues his progression through the club’s B Team pathway.
The Queensland youngster joined the Roar from Logan City FC and has been a regular in Brisbane’s midfield throughout the 2026 NPL Queensland season.
The deal represents Sorensen’s first professional contract, with Sporting Director James Gow backing the local product to develop into a long-term player.

“We’re pleased to see Taj sign his first professional deal off the back of his hard work and the potential we see in him.
“A local Queensland kid, Taj has the skill, dedication and drive to have a long career in the game and we believe that the signing of this contract is just the start of it.
Gow concluded: “We look forward to seeing him continue to grow this season.”

Sorensen said signing for his hometown club was a dream come true.
“It’s truly a dream come true to sign a professional contract with my hometown team.
“I’ve grown up my whole life supporting the club so I’m driven to give my all this season and contribute wherever I can for the badge.”
Brisbane Roar kick off their 2026/27 campaign with an away trip to Coopers Stadium, where they’ll face Adelaide United on Sunday, October 18.
