Her name sounds almost like a contradiction. Mercy suggests tenderness and compassion. Savage suggests something fierce, unyielding, and impossible to break. For Mercy de-Graft Savage, the contrast became more than a coincidence. It became a reflection of the woman she would eventually become.
She did not grow up surrounded by wealth or privilege. What she did have was something less visible but deeply powerful: an instinct to hold people through difficult moments. Friends turned to her. People trusted her emotional steadiness. Even as a child, she was already helping others carry what they could not carry alone.
She simply did not yet know that this ability would become her purpose.
When the Perfect Career Was Not the Right Life
When Mercy de-Graft Savage arrived in the UAE, her professional path appeared almost perfectly mapped out. She was an oil and gas lawyer with a first degree in real estate, entering a country where her qualifications seemed aligned with obvious opportunity.
On paper, everything made sense.
But life is rarely decided on paper.
Even while building her legal career, Mercy kept noticing something else. She saw women who were successful, capable, and responsible for everyone around them, yet quietly neglecting their own health and wellbeing.
Conversations repeatedly returned to the same question: how was she really doing?
The question stayed with Mercy.
Then, in January 2026, she made a decision that required courage. As a single mother raising her daughter, she stepped away from the predictable professional path and chose something far more personal: helping women rebuild their health and sense of self through the transitions that can completely reshape a life.
The Decision to Start Again
Starting over rarely looks glamorous.
It means leaving behind certainty and entering a space where the outcome is unknown. For Mercy, that transition was deeply personal because she was not simply changing careers. She was rebuilding herself at the same time.
That experience became part of her philosophy.
Today, Mercy is a whole-person wellness coach for women in transition. She is Harvard-certified in Lifestyle and Wellness Coaching, a certified Health and Wellness Coach with specialized training in perimenopause and menopause, and holds an LLM in Oil and Gas Law with Distinction.
Through MD Savage Coaching, she now works with high-capacity women navigating seasons such as perimenopause, menopause, divorce, career change, relocation, and motherhood.
Her approach looks at the whole person, including hormones, energy, sleep, weight, stress, the nervous system, nutrition, and sustainable routines.
But the heart of her work is not a rigid protocol.
It is trust.
The Woman Is Always in the Driver’s Seat
Mercy de-Graft Savage believes every woman already carries wisdom about her own life.
That belief shapes the way she coaches.
She does not see herself as the expert arriving with every answer. Instead, she listens, guides, and helps women reconnect with their own understanding of what they need.
For Mercy, no woman can be reduced to a protocol because no two women experience transition in exactly the same way.
That philosophy has become central to MD Savage Coaching, which works with clients one-to-one, through group programs such as The Savage Reset, and through workshops and speaking engagements.
She also speaks regularly at women’s wellness and empowerment events across the UAE, helping women navigate life transitions with greater confidence, knowledge, and self-trust.
It is also what separates her entrepreneurial vision from a simple wellness business. Mercy is building a space around the idea that health is deeply personal and that sustainable change begins when women stop overriding themselves.
Turning Personal Reinvention Into Women’s Empowerment
The validation for Mercy came from the women she encountered in the UAE.
They began sharing their own stories of transition. Some were navigating menopause. Others were facing divorce, motherhood, relocation, or major career changes. Many quietly expressed that they wished they had encountered someone who could walk beside them through those moments.
That was when Mercy understood that her story was bigger than herself.
Her own reinvention had become a bridge for others.
Her work now challenges a familiar narrative around women and ageing. Instead of viewing midlife, menopause, and difficult transitions as decline, Mercy sees them as periods of becoming.
That message places women’s empowerment at the centre of her leadership.
A Legacy Built on Mercy and Strength
Mercy de-Graft Savage wants to change the story women tell themselves about their bodies.
She wants women to understand that hormones are not weaknesses to overcome, but part of the unique systems that make each woman different. She wants them to build lives that honour their bodies instead of constantly fighting against them.
That vision gives MD Savage Coaching a purpose beyond business growth.
Her long-term ambition is to create a trusted place where women can return to themselves and their health, regardless of the season they are experiencing.
And perhaps her greatest legacy will be found in the meaning hidden inside her name.
Mercy represents the gentleness required to make women feel safe. Savage represents the fierceness required to remind them that they were never broken.
They were becoming.
