The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has introduced a new weekend package tour from Bengaluru to Jog Falls via Shivamogga and Sagara. The package will commence on August 8 and will be operated by the Bengaluru Central Division using non-air-conditioned sleeper buses.
Available on Fridays and Saturdays, the package covers a total distance of 840 km. The tour departs from Bengaluru at 10.30 p.m. and reaches Sagara early the next morning. The itinerary includes visits to Varadahalli, Varadamoola, Ikkeri, and Keladi before proceeding to Jog Falls. Passengers will also have time for shopping in Sagara before returning to Bengaluru the same night.
KSRTC said in a release that the package fare includes the entrance fee to Jog Falls, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, making it a comprehensive weekend travel option. The fare has been fixed at ₹3,300 for adults and ₹3,000 for children aged between six and 12 years.
The corporation has appealed to the public to make use of the package tour. Tickets can be booked through the KSRTC website, and passengers can also contact the Bengaluru Central Division helpline for further information.
