The children were injured in a crash just before 4 p.m. Thursday, Haverhill police said.
Two children were seriously injured Thursday in Haverhill after a bus collided with the motorized scooter they were riding, police said.
Officers received a report of the crash just before 4 p.m. They responded to the intersection of Portland Street and 5th Avenue, where they found two children suffering serious injuries, the Haverhill Police Department said in a statement.
The children were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Officials have not provided their ages or released specific information on their injuries.

The intersection was closed to traffic for a substantial part of Thursday evening.
Haverhill police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has information about it to contact the department at 978-373-1212.
After several high profile incidents around Massachusetts, Gov. Maura Healey filed legislation last month that seeks to better regulate “micromobility devices” like e-bikes, scooters, and mopeds.
