Young boy hospitalized after falling from second-floor window in Worcester

Police say the 4-year-old is expected to recover as the incident remains under investigation.

A four-year-old boy is recovering after falling from a second-story window Thursday in Worcester, authorities said. 

The Worcester Police Department said they responded to a home on Southold Road at 5 p.m. after receiving a call that the boy had fallen out of a second-floor window. 

First responders transported the boy to a local hospital. As of Friday, Worcester Sgt. Elise Miranda said that the boy is in stable condition with “bumps and bruises.” 

“It appears he will be OK,” Miranda said. 

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
