Zee TV’s Jagadhatri has taken a new turn in its storyline, bringing Jagadhatri, played by Sonakshi Batra, and Shivaay, portrayed by Farman Haider, closer after a series of challenges. The show recently saw Jagadhatri being arrested for the alleged murder of Rudra, played by Ayushh Shrivastava. However, she eventually discovered that Rudra was alive and had staged his death to frame her while being involved in an illegal drug syndicate.
Zee TV’s Jagadhatri: Sonakshi Batra and Farman Haider open up about ShivDhatri’s reunion: “This is a very special phase”
With the truth finally revealed, Jagadhatri has been proven innocent, and she and Shivaay have confessed their love for each other. The two have now reunited, with Jagadhatri returning to the Deshmukh house as Shivaay’s wife. Maya, played by Sayantani Ghosh, has also welcomed her, marking a new phase in the couple’s relationship.
Speaking about the reunion and what lies ahead for their characters, Sonakshi Batra and Farman Haider shared their thoughts on the evolving storyline and their experience of working together. Sonakshi Batra said, “From colleagues to best friends, and finally husband and wife, Jagadhatri and Shivaay have begun a beautiful new chapter together. Shivaay’s prayers are finally answered when Jagadhatri lovingly accepts his proposal and calls him her husband. But no fairytale is free from hardship. Now, #ShivDhatri will share their romantic moments while standing hand in hand to solve crimes and family disputes. Jagadhatri has been proven innocent before the entire family, yet the Deshmukhs have not fully accepted her. Rudra remains behind bars because of her, keeping resentment alive within the family. As Jagadhatri and Shivaay uncover the Deshmukhs’ hidden connection to the world of crime, they must expose the family’s darkest secrets. For Shivaay, the battle is deeply personal because it means standing against his own family. For Jagadhatri, it means confronting the family of the man she loves. It’s been wonderful working with Farman. He’s a brilliant actor and an incredibly supportive co-star. We both care deeply about our characters and the story, which is why we’re always discussing our scenes and looking for ways to bring more depth and nuance to our performances. There’s a natural ease and chemistry between us that the audience seems to love, and we’re truly happy to be able to bring that to the screen.”
Farman Haider described the reunion as an important moment in the characters’ journey, highlighting how the revelation about Rudra and Jagadhatri’s innocence has changed their relationship. He said, “I think this is a very special phase for Shivaay and Jagadhatri because the truth about Rudra has finally been revealed, and Jagadhatri has been proven innocent. After everything they have been through, Shivaay and Jagadhatri have finally confessed their love for each other, which makes their reunion even more meaningful. I am sure ShivDhatri fans will be thrilled to see this side of their relationship and enjoy the chemistry between them. Along with these romantic moments, the audience can also look forward to more action, unexpected twists and exciting cases as Jagadhatri and Shivaay continue to work together. Shooting with Sonakshi is always a great experience because she is a very professional actor, and we both put a lot of effort into our scenes. We share a great understanding as co-stars, which makes it easier to perform together and ensures that our scenes translate well on screen. I am sure this new phase will be a treat for ShivDhatri fans.”
While the truth about Rudra has been exposed and Jagadhatri has cleared her name, several questions remain unanswered. She must still identify the person within the Deshmukh family responsible for her mother’s death and uncover the truth behind the events surrounding her.
As Jagadhatri and Shivaay navigate married life, their relationship will continue to develop alongside crime investigations, family conflicts and new revelations. Viewers can watch Jagadhatri from Monday to Friday at 10:30 p.m. on Zee TV.
