Three course meal at Wined Bar
This menu has been crafted by the Wined Bar chef to showcase the best in modern Australian cuisine, using the highest quality local ingredients. Toast mum with a glass of Sparkling Rosé on arrival, before savouring dishes like prawns with creamy garlic sauce and chilli, grilled halloumi with roast pumpkin, sous vide beef rump and Mediterranean herb baked salmon. For Mother’s Day, Sussex Hotel in Walkerville is keeping things relaxed, serving their full à la carte menu from 12 noon through to evening, alongside a handful of chef specials created just for the occasion. On arrival, mums will be welcomed with a glass of bubbles – a simple way to ease into the celebration.
Dishes include panfried tiger prawns in saffron cream, herb crusted deep sea cod with pumpkin and lentils, and crispy skinned duck leg with broccolini, wild rice and a subtle licorice-infused parsnip cream. To finish, a classic apple and rhubarb crumble with vanilla bean ice cream.
While there’s no strict sitting time, a 90-minute seating applies unless arranged prior, and bookings are recommended for what’s always a very busy day.
