Free Saturday Face Painting | September 12
Little Market shoppers can enjoy a colourful morning at the Adelaide Central Market, with free face painting available every Saturday.
Head to the Eastern Roadway, between Central Market Flowers and Angelakis Bros Seafood, where children can choose a fun design before exploring the stalls with their families. It’s an easy addition to a weekend market visit, whether you’re picking up fresh produce, grabbing a bite to eat or simply enjoying the atmosphere.
The activity is free and runs every Saturday morning.

Goodwood Farmers’ Market and Children’s Market | September 13
Families can enjoy a morning of fresh produce, handmade creations and community fun when the Goodwood Farmers’ Market and Children’s Market pop up at Goodwood Primary School this Sunday.
The farmers’ market will run from 8.30am to 12.30pm, with South Australian farmers and producers selling seasonal produce, breakfast, coffee and market favourites. Between 9am and 11am, head to the North Yard for the Children’s Market, where Goodwood Primary School students will be selling their own handmade arts, crafts and more.
There will also be a sausage sizzle hosted by the school community, with funds raised supporting Goodwood Primary School. It’s a lovely opportunity to support local producers and encourage the next generation of young creators.

Kidical Mass Adelaide | September 13
Families are invited to join Adelaide’s biggest Bike Bus as Kidical Mass returns for its fifth anniversary, bringing a colourful community ride to the inner west.
Starting and finishing at Torrensville Primary School, the event gives children and their families the chance to enjoy riding together while supporting safer streets and more opportunities for active travel. Volunteer marshals will help guide the ride, with short and long route options available to suit different abilities.
Afterwards, families can stay for a picnic on the school oval, explore a cargo bike display and learn more about Bike Bus programs. A BBQ and drinks will also be available to purchase.
The event is free, but bookings are requested to help organisers plan. Please note that balance bikes and walkers are not suitable for this ride.

Adelaide Botanic Garden Guided Walk | September 13
Families can discover the stories and hidden corners of Adelaide Botanic Garden on a guided walk through one of the city’s most beautiful green spaces.
Led by the Adelaide Park Lands Association, the two-hour walk visits highlights including the International Rose Garden, Bicentennial Conservatory, First Creek wetlands, Adelaide’s oldest tree, Botanic Lake and the historic 1877 Palm House. The route covers just over two kilometres, with children welcome to join the exploration.
Wear sturdy shoes and bring along a water bottle. The walk begins at the Goodman Building on Hackney Road, with free parking available on Plane Tree Drive. Only assistance dogs are permitted in the Garden.
Tickets are free for Adelaide Park Lands Association members and children aged six and under. Non-members pay $9, while children aged 7–15 and concession holders pay $6.

Kids climb free at RoofClimb Adelaide Oval | September 1 – 30
Families looking for something a little more adventurous can take advantage of a new September offer at Adelaide Oval, with kids able to climb RoofClimb for free throughout the month.
From September 1st to 30th, children aged 8 to 15 can join a Day or Twilight RoofClimb for free when accompanied by a paying adult, giving families the chance to take in sweeping views across Adelaide while tackling one of the city’s most unique experiences.
The offer is limited to one free child per paying accompanying adult, with minimum height requirements and other terms and conditions applying.
