A new women’s sports bar is coming to downtown Boston.
The Sports Bra, the world’s first sports bar dedicated exclusively to showing women’s sports, will soon open its Boston franchise at 2 Broad St. in the Financial District, a 3,243 square-foot space that previously housed Tiki Rock.
The ownership group of eight locals — a group of friends whose vision to open a dedicated women’s sports bar began out of a group chat — is completing renovations and has not yet announced an opening date. A sign on the door of the venue reads: “Game time: Fall 2026.”
The existing venue has a large bar area with ample seating and TVs. When it opens as The Sports Bra Boston, those TVs will show local and national women’s sports games, including the NWSL’s Boston Legacy FC, PWHL’s Boston Fleet, WPBL’s Boston Hunters.
“We realized this was the perfect spot the moment we stepped inside and could truly see it transform into The Sports Bra Boston,” Lydia Coverdale-Perez, a member of the ownership group, said in a release. “For us, walking into this space felt like our group chat finally got home-court advantage.”
The original Sports Bra location in Portland, Ore., was a smash hit upon its opening in 2022. Founder and owner Jenny Nguyen announced in 2025 that the business was expanding with franchises across the country, including in Boston and Portland, Maine.
True to the original location’s model, The Sports Bra Boston will be family-friendly and offer a wide range of food and beverage options — with sourcing products from local, women-owned businesses a priority.
“Our vision was always to be more than just a place to watch the game and have a burger. Our space is a hub to share the rich history and future of women’s sports through community engagement, education, and visibility,” Dana Marie Cincis, the Boston ownership group spokesperson, said in a release.
Cincis and the rest of the ownership group teamed up in 2024 to create Watch With Us Boston, which organized pop-up watch parties for women’s sports in the Boston area. As the events began to attract bigger crowds, they started considering opening a brick-and-mortar women’s sports bar.
Then, in early 2025, they signed on with Nguyen and The Sports Bra to open one of the business’s first franchises and began the hunt for the right location.
“The Sports Bra centers women’s sports and builds a community around them,” Nguyen said. “Boston has one of the deepest, most passionate sports cultures in the world, and this local ownership group embodies everything our brand stands for: leadership, resilience, diversity, and true team spirit.”
