A worker has been mauled by a crocodile at a Papua New Guinea wildlife park with the terrifying incident shared on social media.
Horrific footage has shown the moment the man was attacked by the large crocodile as he clung to the side of the park’s pool while the animal’s jaws were wrapped around his legs.
The incident unfolded at the Adventure Park in Port Moresby, the country’s capital, on Saturday afternoon.

Local media reports say St John Ambulance and police arrived at the park to help the injured man. The extent of his injuries is not yet clear.
It is understood the crocodile was shot by police in order to free the man.
He was rushed to 3 Mile General Hospital for treatment.

Previous social media footage shows caretakers at the park having a close relationship with the crocodiles, feeding them and sitting on them for spectators.
It is unclear whether the victim of the attack is the same man seen in photos sitting on the crocodile.
