Where Travellers Fell | Write Out Loud

And so my journey to find happiness did begin.

A venture through dark worlds, riddled with sin.

I saw once Heavenly Kingdoms reduced to Hell.

I saw burial grounds, where many travelers fell.

My feet trod over hills of splintered human bone.

I saw gods that had now been turned to stone.

Massive, twisted thorny trees stood in my way.

Without any fear, wicked demons, I had to slay.

On this long perilous journey, that I had to take.

I saw through gods, with false promise to make.

And ringing loud in my ears, a bell forever to toll.

As creatures fought each other, to steal my soul.

I crossed vast lands in constant fire and flame.

I heard the tortured cry out in their constant pain.

Temptation met me at every mountainous turn.

I could smell the rotten flesh of evil serpents burn.

I had to fend off monsters with my shield and bow.

I saw rivers of human blood, through valleys flow.

Slaves carrying huge boulders, I saw under attack.

In this Hellish land, where one can never turn back.
