The event runs from April 26 to 30, with the squad made up of six boys and 10 girls.
Their selection is part of the UAE Athletics Federation’s 2026 competition calendar and gives the country’s younger athletes another chance to compete at regional level.
The team will take part in a wide spread of events across the programme. They are entered in the 100, 200, 400, 800 and 1,500 metres, as well as the 100m and 400m hurdles and the 3,000m steeplechase.
They will also compete in the high jump, long jump, pole vault, discus and hammer.
The championships offer a useful test for a young group on an Arab stage, with both the men’s and women’s sides represented across the track and field schedule.
