For Mohammad Hamadah, journalism began as an ambition long before it became a profession. Around Grade 9 or 10, he was already drawn to the idea of becoming a journalist, particularly because he saw journalism as a way to become a voice for people who could not speak up for themselves.
More than a decade later, that belief continues to shape his work.
From starting as an intern at An-Nahar newspaper in Beirut in 2013 to working as a Business News Reporter at Future TV and eventually building a career in Dubai as a News Desk Producer, Content Creator, host and producer at Asharq, Hamadah’s journey has been defined by persistence, adaptability and a commitment to telling stories with accuracy and purpose.
The Beginning: Finding a Voice in Journalism
Hamadah began his media career in 2013 as an intern at An-Nahar newspaper in Beirut.
The experience gave him an early introduction to the realities of journalism and helped turn an interest that had existed since his school years into a professional direction.
He later joined Future TV as a Business News Reporter, covering economic developments, financial stories and corporate news. Reporting on business required more than simply gathering information. It demanded accuracy, context and the ability to understand why a story mattered to the audience.

From Beirut to Dubai
The economic crisis that began affecting Lebanon in 2019 became one of the main reasons Hamadah decided to move to Dubai.
Leaving Beirut meant more than changing cities. It meant leaving behind family, friends and a familiar environment to build a new professional life in another country.
The transition was difficult, but the values he developed during his years in Beirut travelled with him.
Honesty.

Hard work.
Those principles would become particularly important as he entered a new media environment and began taking on broader responsibilities.
Dubai offered a new chapter, and Hamadah was ready to begin again.
Growing Through the Asharq Newsroom
At Asharq, Hamadah moved beyond his previous experience in reporting and into News Desk Production and Content Creation.
The role expanded his understanding of how stories are built for modern audiences.
During his time at Asharq, he has worked on coverage of major regional and international events, including the US Midterm Elections and other significant news events.
But his responsibilities have grown beyond traditional newsroom production.
He has also moved into hosting and producing original digital and documentary-style programs, allowing him to combine several sides of his professional experience: journalism, research, production, storytelling and presenting.
That evolution reflects the changing nature of modern journalism.
The journalist is no longer limited to writing or reporting.
Today’s media professionals increasingly need to understand how a story works across television, digital platforms, social media and original programming.
Hamadah has embraced that evolution.
لماذا | WHY: Making Complex Ideas Understandable
One of the projects that reflects Hamadah’s broader storytelling ambitions is “لماذا | WHY”, an Arabic science and educational digital series that he hosts and produces.
The concept is built around everyday questions and scientific phenomena, presented in a way that makes complex subjects accessible and engaging to a wider audience.
The project brings together journalism, research, visual storytelling and presenting, reflecting Hamadah’s interest in explaining subjects rather than simply reporting them.
In 2026, the series received a Bronze Telly Award in the Creator – Science & Experiments category.
It was his first international award, making the recognition particularly meaningful.
For Hamadah, the significance went beyond the award itself. It represented international recognition for work created specifically for an Arabic-speaking audience. The award submission and nomination were made by the channel.
جواسيس: Exploring Another Side of Storytelling
Hamadah’s creative work also extends into documentary and espionage storytelling through “جواسيس”, an Arabic documentary series that he hosts and produces.
Working across both “لماذا” and “جواسيس” has allowed him to explore two very different storytelling worlds.
One focuses on science, education and everyday questions.
The other explores history, intelligence and documentary narratives.
Together, the projects demonstrate the breadth of Hamadah’s interests and his ability to adapt his storytelling approach according to the subject.
Whether explaining a scientific phenomenon or exploring a complex historical narrative, the underlying objective remains the same: make the story meaningful to the audience.
What Makes a Story Worth Telling
For Hamadah, journalism is not simply about deciding what happened.

The opening, pacing, visuals and ending should all serve one central idea.
In breaking news and live television, another quality becomes essential: composure under pressure.
Fast decisions have to be made while protecting the credibility of the newsroom.
For Hamadah, there is a principle that should never be compromised:

What continues to motivate Hamadah is closely connected to the reason he wanted to become a journalist in the first place.
“The story hasn’t been told yet, and someone needs to hear it.”

Bridging Journalism, Production and Presentation
Hamadah’s career has gradually brought together several disciplines that once existed separately.
He began with reporting.
He developed experience in news production.
He expanded into content creation.
He moved into hosting and original programming.
Today, these experiences inform one another.
His reporting background provides an emphasis on accuracy and verification. Production has taught him how to build a story from beginning to end. Hosting has given him another way to communicate directly with audiences.
