One of the few perks of being a Gold Logie winner is that you get an invite to television’s night of nights for the rest of your life.
It’s a tradition as old as time and one still followed to this day.

So, it was surprising to see an article The Sunday Telegraph claiming Lynne McGraner had been ‘snubbed’ from this year’s ceremony.
“I think it was an oversight this year, I wasn’t invited. Well I couldn’t have gone anyway,” she told Confidential.
There’s just one problem for this juicy little story – it’s not true.
Knowing the long-standing tradition of Gold Logie winners being invited for the rest of their lives, TV Blackbox reached out to TV Week to confirm our suspicions.
A spokesperson informed us the article was incorrect, saying:
The TV WEEK Logie Awards sent an invitation back in June to Lynne’s agent and a reminder was later confirmed as received. Lynne’s manager subsequently confirmed Lynne will be away and formally declined via the invitation portal.
