Stan has locked in a streaming date for Saccharine, the latest psychological horror from writer and director Natalie Erika James.
Filmed in Melbourne and starring Grey’s Anatomy actor Midori Francis alongside Australians Danielle Macdonald and Madeleine Madden, the film arrives after making its world premiere at Sundance and later screening at the Sydney Film Festival.
Francis stars as Hana, a first year medical student who becomes fixated on losing weight after discovering a controversial diet pill made from human ashes.

Unable to afford the pills herself, she begins stealing bones from the cadaver she studies, only to find herself haunted by the restless ghost of the woman she is consuming.
Saccharine reunites James with producers Anna McLeish and Sarah Shaw following their work on Relic.
The pair have also produced Australian films including Run Rabbit Run and Snowtown, while James again serves as writer, director and producer.
Following its world premiere at Sundance earlier this year, Saccharine also screened at the Sydney Film Festival before heading to Stan.
Saccharine begins streaming on Stan from August 13.
