Invisible Boys is heading overseas, with the Stan Original drama landing a major new deal with a US streaming service.
Announced this evening Australian time, the series will stream on Disney-owned Hulu in the US, with Banijay Rights, which handles international distribution of the series, taking the drama to a huge new audience.
Invisible Boys first premiered on Stan in February 2025, following a group of gay teenagers growing up in the regional WA town of Geraldton and navigating friendship, identity and what happens when one of them is outed online.

The series stars Joseph Zada alongside Aydan Calafiore, Zach Blampied and Joe Klocek, and was created and directed by Nicholas Verso, with the screen adaptation based on Holden Sheppard’s 2019 novel of the same name.
Sheppard’s work is also heading back to the screen, with his second novel, Yea, the Boys, currently being developed as a television series with Australian production company Deadset Pictures, as previously reported by TV Blackbox.
For Invisible Boys, the international deal comes after the series won Best Original Web Series at the IFFA Awards and took out the Television Series award at the 58th AWGIE Awards for Allan Clarke’s Episode 7 script, “Vigil”, alongside nominations for a Peabody Award and an AACTA Award for Best Mini-Series.

In a statement, series creator and director Nicholas Verso said he was thrilled to see his “horny, sweaty Australian contribution” heading to American audiences.

Produced by Feisty Dame Productions and Asphodel Films for Stan, with major production investment from Screen Australia, all 10 episodes of Invisible Boys are streaming on Stan in Australia now.
Invisible Boys will premiere on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the US, with a launch date still to be announced.
