Connecticut State Police are investigating after the skeletal remains of three bodies were found inside a foreclosed home on Sunday.
Shortly before 5 p.m., police responded to 7 Stanwich Lane in Burlington, Conn. when a new homebuyer reported finding the human remains of three people in the house, police said in a press release. The buyer purchased the house “as is” at a foreclosure auction.
The identities of the three found bodies have not yet been confirmed, according to police. Though the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has not determined a cause of death, there is no indication of foul play or anything else suspicious, according to the release.
The discovery of the bodies appears to be an isolated incident, and there is currently no danger to the public, police said. State Police detectives are investigating the case, and more information will be released as it becomes available.
