Sir Alex Ferguson has made his first public appearance since being rushed to hospital last month, and fans will be delighted to see the legendary manager looking well.
The 84-year-old was spotted beaming at a restaurant in Wilmslow, Manchester, where he happily posed for photographs with supporter Vimal Devassy.
It’s a welcome sight for football fans everywhere, as the Scot hadn’t been seen publicly since his health scare on May 3rd.
Ferguson was taken to hospital by ambulance roughly an hour before Manchester United’s clash with Liverpool, though it wasn’t considered an emergency situation.

He was later discharged and has been recovering at home ever since.
Devassy, who works at the restaurant, shared the photograph on Instagram with a heartfelt message about the encounter.
“Not every photo tells a story – some capture a feeling. I wasn’t shaking because I met a football legend,” he wrote.
“I was shaking because I was standing beside a man who helped shape the journey of my idol, Cristiano Ronaldo.”
He added: “I’m not the biggest Manchester United fan, but my admiration for Sir Alex Ferguson and the special relationship he built with Ronaldo has always inspired me. A moment I’ll never forget. Thank you, Sir Alex.”
Speaking to The Sun, Devassy described the moment as “simple but special” and said he was grateful Ferguson agreed to the photo before leaving.
League Managers’ Association chief executive Richard Bevan has confirmed that Ferguson is “on the mend” following his absence from their annual awards ceremony.
England boss Thomas Tuchel stepped in to present the Sir Alex Ferguson Trophy to Manager of the Year winner Frank Lampard, reading out a letter penned by the legendary Scot himself.
“It is, of course, not the same without Sir Alex himself, and we wish him all the best and a speedy recovery so that he is hopefully with us next year on stage again,” Tuchel said.
Ferguson remains widely regarded as United’s greatest ever manager, having claimed 13 Premier League titles and two Champions League trophies during his remarkable 26-year reign before retiring in 2013.
