Sharjah set for UAE Archery League final

Sharjah will host the final round of the UAE Archery League on Saturday, with 52 athletes set to compete at Sharjah Police Club.

The field includes male and female archers from clubs across the country. The UAE Archery Federation said the final list of competitors had been approved after the earlier rounds of the league, and that preparations for the event had been completed.

Titles will be decided across several categories by the end of the competition.

Humaid Sabt Al Shamsi, head of the national teams committee, said the league remains an important part of the federation’s pathway for developing talent across different age groups.

He said the national team is also building towards a busy spell of international competition, including the West Asia Championship in October and the Asian Championships from December 12 to 19.

The federation hopes the league will help widen the base of the sport in the UAE, identify new talent and strengthen ties with clubs as it looks to improve the standard of the national teams.
