Sharjah Club keeps UAE table tennis shield

Sharjah Club have retained the UAE Table Tennis Excellence Shield after finishing top of the national standings for the second year in a row.

The final rankings for the 2025-26 season, released by the UAE Table Tennis Federation, placed Sharjah on 738 points. That left them more than 60 points clear of their nearest rival.

Sharjah won the youth, junior and cadet league titles, with each secured before the final round of matches.

The club also picked up nine individual and team titles in national events.

Those results included first place in the UAE Junior Singles Championship and gold in the Junior Doubles Championship. Sharjah players also reached the podium in several junior singles events and made an early mark in the first UAE Youth Singles Championship.

The individual awards followed the same pattern.

Ahmed Saeed Al-Musaibi, who represents Sharjah Club and the UAE national team, was named Best Junior Player for the second straight season.

Coach Ehab Mahmoud Suleiman also retained his Best Coach award for the 2025-26 campaign.
