The scene is receiving severe public backlash. A drama viewer wrote, “Since when did we start hugging in Pakistani dramas? What’s next?” Another wrote, “I can’t understand why only Sahar Hashmi gets such steamy scenes. What is this hugging culture? Why do girls get so close to boys? It doesn’t represent our society, so please stay within limits.” One said, “When we speak against them, they do mind it and get sympathy from others.” One wrote, “Pakistani dramas were known for decency and meaningful stories, without unethical scenes.
