Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s red linen and zari sari features French lace border

Crafted on a natural linen base, the red sari called Sehar features multi-colour stripes with handwoven zari accents and finished with delicate French lace along the edges.“The red sari is handwoven in fine-count linen and explores the richness of red through subtle tonal variations,” says designer Anavila Misra. “It is a meeting of craft and femininity, where tradition is reimagined through thoughtful details and gentle contrasts.” Instead of pairing the sari with a matching blouse, Ruth Prabhu opted for a canary yellow half-sleeved blouse.

Accessorising was kept to a minimum, too. For jewellery, styling studio Open House turned to a delicate gold necklace dotted with miniature kundan charms, stud earrings and diamond kadas. Her beauty look followed suit with no-makeup makeup look taking precedence with rose-tinted eyeshadow, softly defined lashes and nude lipstick, with soft curls defining her hair.

The beauty of the actor’s Anavila sari lies in its versatility. To make the look your own, swap the blouse for a lace-trimmed bralette and it is ready for a dinner party, or pair it with a gold blouse for an intimate wedding ceremony. Accessories can shift the mood just as easily. Layered pearls can give it a contemporary edge, while a polki choker and jhumkas guarantee to make it festive-ready.
