Fans also loved her performance in Green Entertainment’s hit drama serial Duniyapur. Saima Qureshi is living a single life after her divorce and is the mother of three young sons.
Recently, Saima Qureshi appeared on Misbah Khalid’s podcast, where she opened up about Pakistani mothers who are not ready to retire.
Talking about it, Saima Qureshi said, “I have seen some mothers who don’t retire. I think mothers in Pakistan should retire after they marry their children off. They don’t want to retire because they want to maintain their authority and control at home, which is not right.” Here is the link to the video:
She further added, “I have advice for all people who are ageing. The problem starts after a certain age in Pakistan, where it is said that you become old after your children grow up. It’s not like that. Age is just a number—being old or young is a mindset. I have seen older people abroad enjoying their lives and staying active. In Pakistan, many people have nothing to do, so their children become their focal point. Then complaints start—‘you didn’t come,’ and so on. People should keep themselves busy, make themselves useful, and find hobbies.” Watch here:
