Rutgers-Camden Theater and Symphony in C are teaming up for a new production of “No, No, Nanette,” bringing professional actors, Rutgers students and a 31-piece orchestra together on one stage.
The production runs Friday, Oct. 23, through Sunday, Nov. 1, at the Walter K. Gordon Theater, 314 Linden St. in Camden, with evening performances and Sunday matinees.
The show follows three couples sharing an Atlantic City cottage as a blackmail scheme sets off romantic mix-ups, deception and misunderstandings. Its score includes “Tea for Two” and “I Want to Be Happy.”
The Camden production is directed by Kenneth Elliott, chair of Rutgers-Camden’s Visual, Media and Performing Arts Department. The cast combines Rutgers-Camden students with professional performers, including Robert Kramer as Jimmy Smith, Jake Mendes as Billy Early and Elyse Langley as Lucille Early.
