Riley J. Sergi. – Via Farmer & Dee Funeral Home

As he begins his next journey it is with broken hearts we bid farewell for now to Riley J. Sergi. On June 28, 2026, at the age of 28 he sustained injuries from a tragic car accident.

Riley was currently residing in Haverhill but was raised in Dracut.

He attended Dracut Public Schools and graduated from Central Catholic High School. He was currently attending Whittier Tech to become an electrician.

Though his years were few, the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the JOY he brought reached far beyond his time here.

Riley’s interests were gaming, music, playing guitar, and participating in various sports. He had a mind that was always moving and hands that were always creating. He loved to cook and altered recipes to add his own touch (“extra garlic please”). He was endlessly curious and loved understanding how things worked. He would take things apart, study every piece, and often put them back together again — driven by wonder, creativity, and a desire to learn. His interest in computer science reflected that same thoughtful spirit: always building, solving, discovering, and imagining what was possible.

He brought strength and determination into everything he did and embraced challenges with heart and discipline. He worked hard in every part of life. Especially when he saw his family and friends doing projects, he jumped right in to help by taking on whatever was needed, always giving his full effort.

Behind Riley’s strength was a tender and compassionate heart. He cared deeply and quietly for people. He loved spending time with family, laughing with friends, playing dominos with his family, and creating memories in ordinary moments that now feel extraordinary.

He is survived by his mother Rhonda Lacy, of Haverhill, and her partner (rock) Gary Lennox, his father David Sergi and his fiancée Darlene Fitzgerald of Billerica, his brother David Sergi, of Haverhill, and his partner Sarah Hagopian.

His aunts and uncles Thomas Lacy Jr. and his partner Diane Norton (Godmother) of Inwood, WV, Cheryl (Lacy) Batherwich and her husband Frank of Dracut, and Vickilynn (Sergi) Devlin and her husband Thomas of Waltham, MA. His cousins Brittany Lacy, Tom Lacy and his partner Kimberly Fournier, Erin Lacroix and her husband Patrick, Gerry Devlin and his wife Marina, Felicia Devlin-Giro and her partner Derek Madeira, Thomas Devlin and his wife Emily, Jamie Devlin and her partner Blake Miller. Lydia, Adah, and Joanna Giro.

His “frusins” and his best friend Michael Gantz.

His grandmother Nancy Prunty of Tucson, Arizona.

Riley is predeceased by his grandparents Thomas and Eileen Lacy, and Victor and Barbara Sergi and his cousins Shannon Lacy and Timothy Lacy.

While this loss is heavy and unfair we choose to honor him with donations to Roadway Safety Foundation at www.roadwaysafety.org. Please omit flowers.
