Boston police are searching for suspects involved in two Tuesday morning bank robberies that used the same getaway car, police said.
At 10:11 a.m., two men entered the Santander Bank at 2189 Washington St. in Roxbury, the Boston Police Department said in a community alert.
One man was wearing a “light blue Nike Tech hoodie,” and the second a “black Champion hoodie with white lettering,” BPD said.
The men robbed the bank at gunpoint, and drove off in a blue Toyota RAV4 with a Massachusetts license plate 4MXN78, police said.
They were last seen in the Grove Hall area, police said.
Nearly two hours later, a TD Bank at 930 American Legion Highway in Roslindale was robbed at gunpoint, BPD said in a second community alert.
Both suspects fled in the same Toyota with an identical license plate, BPD said.
Later in the day, two people were arrested for a third armed robbery in Everett, “similar to the robberies that occurred [Tuesday],” Boston police said in an emailed statement sent to Boston.com.
Everett police have not shared any details with Boston police, and the arrest is “being treated as a separate investigation,” BPD wrote to Boston.com.
