PM Modi visits historic Prambanan Temple in Indonesia with President Subianto

During his Indonesia visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto visited the historic Prambanan Temple complex. The nearly one-thousand-year-old Hindu shrine, dedicated to the Trimurti of Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Brahma, stands as a timeless symbol of shared civilisational and cultural heritage. The Archaeological Survey of India will assist in restoring this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built in the ninth century, the temple is known for its towering spires and Ramayana reliefs. The Indonesian President also invited the Prime Minister to return in 2029 to jointly inaugurate the restored temple complex.
