Piyush Goyal hits out at Kharge over his remarks on PM Modi, seeks apology

A massive political controversy has erupted after the Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge made a controversial remark against Prime Minister Modi during a recent press conference in Tamil Nadu. The opposition leader accused the Prime Minister of misusing central investigative agencies to threaten political rivals, using an objectionable term to describe the actions. In a rebuttal, the Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal condemned the statement, demanding an immediate apology from the opposition leadership and their regional alliance partners. The Union Minister stated that the remark is an insult to the democratic mandate of the country and offends millions of citizens, including the people of Tamil Nadu. The ruling party leaders have expressed outrage, highlighting that such comments reflect the frustration of the opposition ahead of the elections. The political battle lines are now clearly drawn as the ruling party intensifies its demand for a public apology over the comments directed at the Prime Minister.
