Peshawar Zalmi Pacer Becomes Youngest Pakistani to Take T20 Hat-Trick in PSL 11

Peshawar Zalmi fast bowler Ali Raza became the youngest Pakistani to take a T20 hat-trick after a sensational final over against Karachi Kings in the 2026 Pakistan Super League PSL 11 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

The 18-year-old was handed the last over of the innings after Karachi opted to bat first, and what began as a difficult over ended in a remarkable piece of history.

Ali Raza started with a wide, before Abbas Afridi edged him away for four and then picked up a single. Khushdil Shah then smashed him for six, but the over turned dramatically on the next delivery when Abbas was run out while attempting a bye after a wide.

From there, Ali took control. Khushdil was dismissed hit wicket on the next legal ball, giving the young pacer his first wicket of the over. He then removed Shahid Aziz with a fast full delivery and completed the hat-trick on the final ball by bowling Hasan Ali, sealing a stunning finish for Zalmi.

Ali ended with figures of 4/41 in four overs, with three of those wickets coming on the last three legal deliveries of the innings.

Earlier, Karachi had built a strong platform after winning the toss and choosing to bat. The Kings made a steady start with a 35-run opening stand, and although Ali had earlier broken through by bowling David Warner, the innings was driven by Jason Roy, who struck 85 off 51 balls, and Azam Khan, who made a quick 35 off 19.

But Karachi failed to fully cash in at the death despite having wickets in hand. Their innings fell apart in the final over, as four wickets fell in quick succession and they closed on 182/9 in 20 overs.
