Perth Glory have added more depth to their midfield ahead of the 2026-27 Isuzu UTE A-League campaign with the signing of midfielder Lucas Scicluna on a two-year deal.
The 20-year-old spent last season with the Newcastle Jets, making ten Isuzu UTE A-League appearances for Mark Milligan’s side to help the Jets clinch their first ever A-Leagues Premiership.
Earlier in his career, Scicluna was a part of the youth set up at English clubs Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers alongside his brother, and current Western Sydney Wanderers midfielder, Dylan.

The dual Australian and Maltese national, who has represented Malta at Under-19 and Under-21 level, is now looking forward to opening a new chapter in his career with Perth Glory.

“I’m incredibly excited to join this club and be part of what the team is building,” said Scicluna.
“From the moment I spoke with the club, I could see the ambition and vision for success.
“I’m looking forward to working hard every day, contributing to the team and helping the club get back to where it belongs.”
Glory Football Director Stan Lazaridis believes that Scicluna is a player with great potential.
“Lucas has a very high ceiling and is perfectly suited to the style of football Griff [Head Coach Adam Griffiths] wants to play,” he said.
“He’s technically good, reads the game and keeps the ball well, has a great engine and is ready for a breakout season.
“He’ll help provide strong competition in a crucial position and we’re excited to see him develop with us over the next couple of years.”
