A new stage production for Gekidan Haikyuu!! has been confirmed. The announcement was made during the second Haikyuu!! Reception video on the official SHONEN JUMP YouTube channel. It was announced alongside a teaser trailer and video with the tagline “IH (InterHigh) Preliminary round begins.” It is scheduled to run in Tokyo in December 2026 and in Osaka in January 2027.

Kenta Suga is reprising his role as the director of the performance, with Masami Ito as the scriptwriter. Shunsuke Wada is in charge of the music, with HIDALI handling the choreography and staging. Suga is known as the actor who plays Shoyo Hinata in the previous Haikyuu!! stage plays before he started directing for the Gekidan Haikyuu!! stage production. He previously directed the Gekidan Haikyuu!!! Inaugural Performance and Gekidan Haikyuu!! – Encounter.
Gekidan Haikyuu!! Is the successor of the Hyper Projection Stage Play Haikyuu that ran from 2015 to 2021. It was formed in August 2022 with its first stage production, Gekidan Haikyuu!! Inaugural Performance, running in August 2023. Both Gekidan Haikyuu!! and its predecessors are stage plays based on Haruchi Furudate’s Haikyuu!! manga series.
