In this week’s popular review show Kya Drama Hai, Nadia Khan shared her opinion on why Sajal Aly’s Zanjeerain is a flop drama despite having a mega cast and a big budget.
Talking about it, Nadia Khan said, “It is a signature Hum TV project. They spent a good amount of money on it. The cast is good — you can say it’s an expensive cast. The pairings are good, the locations are perfect, and the characters are well-defined, but I am not enjoying it. It’s not engaging, and especially without Usman, you don’t even want to watch the screen. There were scenes without Usman, and they were not catchy enough to hook you. The screen gets dull as soon as Usman goes missing. Only he has that energy among all the actors. Give me something more — it is not enough for me. The scenes are not hitting me. The pairings are good — Daniyal, Sehar, Sajal, Ameer — but I don’t know what’s missing. Maybe I am a commercial viewer. I am still waiting, but so far it has not been able to convince me. Yes, I only remember the impactful appearance of Simi Raheal. This show feels like it belongs to an era from 6 to 7 years ago; it’s not meant for today. The frames are good and the shots are beautiful but something is lacking.”
