A Broken Necklace That Sparked a Lifelong Passion
Long before he understood gemstones, watches, or luxury maisons, Aeron experienced a defining childhood moment that quietly shaped his future.
While exploring his grandparents’ belongings, he came across a broken tiger’s eye necklace. Rather than seeing something damaged, he saw something worth preserving. Using his father’s old pliers, he carefully repaired the chain and proudly wore it.
Looking back, he recognizes that experience as the beginning of his fascination with craftsmanship.
For Aeron, luxury has never simply been about owning beautiful objects. It has always been about preserving history, appreciating artistry, and understanding the emotional connections that precious objects carry across generations.
That perspective continues to influence every aspect of his career today.
Building Expertise Beyond the Classroom
Aeron graduated with First Class Honours in International Business Management from Liverpool John Moores University during the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Like many graduates entering the workforce at the time, he quickly discovered that academic excellence alone would not define success.
Instead of waiting for the perfect opportunity, he embraced every role that allowed him to grow.
His early career included experiences in graphic design, marine engineering, retail, consulting, market research, and digital marketing. Although these industries appeared unrelated, each added another layer to his professional skillset, strengthening his understanding of business operations, branding, communications, and customer engagement.
Those diverse experiences eventually led him into Dubai’s dynamic DMCC ecosystem, where he gained firsthand exposure to global trade in precious stones, jewellery, precious metals, coffee, and emerging technologies.
Each step reinforced one important lesson: careers are built through curiosity and adaptability, not linear paths.
A Passion for Luxury That Never Stopped Growing
Aeron’s fascination with luxury extended far beyond business.
He immersed himself in gemmological education through respected institutions, including the Swiss Gemmological Institute (SSEF) and the Cultured Pearl Association of America. Moreover, he is part of the Young Diamantaires, a non-profit organisation uniting over 500 members across 25 countries to empower young professionals, challenge traditional thinking, and drive positive change in the diamond trade.
He regularly attends and receives exclusive invitations to exhibitions, conferences, and luxury events, continuously expanding his understanding of jewellery, watches, gemstones, branding, and heritage craftsmanship.
What fascinated him most was how luxury uniquely combines creativity, science, commerce, culture, and human emotion.
That multidimensional world became the ideal place to combine his interests in marketing, business development, education, and storytelling.
Supporting Digital Innovation Through ORIGINALLUXURY
Today, Aeron serves as Business Development and Operations Associate at ORIGINALLUXURY, supporting the company as the designated operator of the DMCC Luxury Innovation Centre in Dubai.
His work focuses on strengthening international partnerships while supporting digital innovation across the global luxury industry.
Rather than viewing innovation as a replacement for tradition, Aeron believes technology should enhance trust and craftsmanship.
One area that particularly excites him is the future adoption of Digital Product Passports, helping improve traceability, transparency, authentication, and long-term brand legacy throughout luxury supply chains.
His vision reflects a growing belief shared across the industry: the future belongs to brands capable of balancing heritage with innovation.
